Hello & welcome to Drake subcamp.
What can we tell you about CampDwone 2008? It promises to be 10 days of fun activities, friendship and a full international experience.
We want you to enjoy yourselves on Drake and we want to help you make sure that you get the most out of this fantastic opportunity.
If you have any equipment requirements then please e-mail us on drake.subcamp@campdowne.org and we'll do our very best to help you. Please get your requirements to us by 13th July at the very latest. We can provide gas for your stay. We can get Calour butane, propane and Camping Gaz at very reasonable prices. If your gear does not support Calor or Camping Gaz then we can get the appropriate fittings on request, although there will be a cost involved.

Hi Gwyn,
My Explorers have been asking what fancy dress outfits and extra things they might need to pack for camp. Usually there's some themed nights and they want to have time to head to the poundshop/primark to get any bits they might need.
Also what is Drake's theme for international day. I seem to remember units usually have to organise an acitivity or craft from their country to share with everyone else - is this the same this year?
Mostly they're just very excited about being on the best subcamp!

Hi Ruthiee,
A Pre Camp Edition of the subcamp paper entitled "The Golden Hind" was emailed yesterday to the email address stated on the group application forms.
If you haven't received a copy and would like one please send an email to:-
drakesubcamp@yahoo.co.uk and as soon as we receive your email we will send you a copy which will contain all the information you need to pass onto your guides to prepare them for their time on Drake Subcamp.
Drakes theme will be the Elizabethan era.
